About the Project

The main aim of the INSPE project is to establish and run interdisciplinary, English language, international, full time Ph.D. studies – Innovative nuclear and sustainable power engineering.

In order to develop the knowledge of nuclear power engineering in Poland we must create innovative, highly educated and specialised staff. Such condition is possible to fulfil only in the cooperation with the best Polish and foreign institutes.

COOPERATION WITH WUT- FORM OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY POINT OF VIEW :

Oregon State University (OSU) is one of the transnational partners of the INSPE project. Ph.D. students have the opportunity to follow the internship at OSU. They also might be approved to initiate and commence their Ph.D. thesis as well as Ph.D. exam.

Studies

  • Duration of INSPE studies- 4 years (or till receiving Ph.D. diploma).
  • To apply to INSPE studies you must hold a technical diploma of any Polish University or you must be a student of The Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering (Warsaw University of Technology)
  • Throughout the period of implementation of actions financed by the UE (February 2014 – June 2015) INSPE students can receive a Ph.D. scholarship in the amount of 2000-3000 PLN per month (depending on the year)
  • Recruitment is carried out by the committee consists of Project partners- Faculty of Physics (WUT), National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) PGE EJ1 and Gdańsk University of Technology.
  • Recruitment committee elects students in accordance with the Academic Regulations.
  • INSPE students can be accommodated in the dormitory.
  • Entrance exams in English and Thermodynamics are necessary as well as an interview with the recruitment committee
